Nécrologie de Roger Bougie

Peacefully at Sandfield Place, Cornwall on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.  Roger Bougie, formerly of Chapel Rd., Martintown at the age of 84.

Beloved husband and sweetheart of Micheline Bougie (née Latulippe) for 58 ½ years.  Loving father of Raymond Bougie (Nancy) and Norman Bougie (Kelly).  Proud grandfather of Justin (Sabrina), Stephanie (Kody), Matthieu, Sophie (Daniel) and Magdelaine; and great grandfather of Layla, Isla and Haisley.  Cherished son of the late Lucien and Raymonde (née Besner) Bougie.  Dear brother of Hugh Bougie (Mary), the late Jackie King (late Lionel), the late Nicole Fournier and Lucie Bellemore (Roger).  Roger will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

Roger began his working life as a farmer; but then transitioned into a renowned homebuilder, helping hundreds of families in the Cornwall area realize their custom home dreams.  He was a hardworking and honest businessman; he was strong in his faith and dedicated to the Parish of St. Raphael’s; he enjoyed golfing and curling with friends; but Roger’s true love was his wife Micheline and their ever-growing family, whom he adored.

Friends are asked to gather at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 7 - 9 pm and at St. Raphael’s Parish on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 10 - 11 am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Raphael’s Parish on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11 am, followed by an interment in St. Raphael’s Parish Cemetery and a reception at St. Raphael’s Parish Hall.

Donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
