It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Annette Lyman (nee Trottier), age 99.5. She passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 25, 2022, at the Hawkesbury General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Angus, in 1994. Proud mother of Diane (John) Seymour and Susan Kelly. Grandmother to Chris (Cathy) Seymour, Erin Kelly (Mike Quinn) and the late Andrea Kelly (Marc Alarie). Great grandmother of Kayla Buss (Darryl), Emily Seymour, Alex Gregoret-Quinn and Lauren Quinn. Great-great grandmother of Mackenzie McDonald. Annette is survived by her sisters, Juliette Robertson and Jeannette Lobb, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special friend to Ed Zachau, Mireille Dauphinais, and Lucille Arcand – her beloved ‘adopted’ children. Many thanks to Ed Zachau for his constant presence and assistance in Annette’s life. She led a very full and beautiful life - matriarch, leader, volunteer, nurturer, and friend. She was determined to live life on her own terms until the very end.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. South, Alexandria, Ontario. Visitation Friday, December 9th , 2022, 7-9 pm and Saturday, December 10th, 11 to 1pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:30 pm at St. Martin de Tours in Glen Robertson.
Donations in honour of Annette, made to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Patient Support Services, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
With the current public health situation, the family requests kindly that all visitors attending the visitation and funeral service, please wear a mask.
