Nécrologie de Rita MacDonald

Peacefully, at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the age of 92.  Rita is predeceased by her parents Dan E. and Mary (née Kennedy) MacDonald; and her siblings Alexander MacDonald, Margaret McIntee (late Peter), Rachel Rainsforth (late Maurice), Donald MacDonald (late Irene), Christine Gillespie (late Roy), John MacDonald (late Mary Tischart), Catherine MacDonald and Patrick MacDonald (Brunelle Cholette).  “Aunt Rita” will be fondly remembered by her caregiver and niece Betty McDonell, her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, neighbours and fellow parishioners of St. Martin of Tours Church.  Family and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 - 10:30 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Church, Glen Robertson on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11 a.m.  A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.  A private committal will be held at a later date.  In memory of Rita, donations made to Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Condolences/Donations/Tributes may be made online at www.glengarryfuneralhome.com.
