Peacefully, at The Palace Long Term Care, Alexandria on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Nicholson. Loving mother of Brian Nicholson and Susan Nicholson (Holly). Proud grandmother of Fatimah (Munir), Jessica, Jennifer and Katelyn (Brock); and great grandmother of Maalik, Haajirah, Suhailah, Zakariyya, Hamzah and Myla. Daughter of the late Rudolf Kavka and the late Ludmina Kavka (née Meixner). Marianne’s family would like to thank Louise Pratte-Covington and Eric Covington for their love and friendship; and the dedicated and caring staff of The Palace Long Term Care. Relatives and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 7 – 9 pm.
