SECOURS, Evelyne (née Gareau) March 13, 1925 – November 8, 2016 Passed away at The Palace – Long Term Care Nursing Home. Predeceased by her loving husband Isidore and her son Royal (Shirley). She leaves to mourn her loving children: Claire Rickerd (Bob), Gilles (Susan), Guy (Rosanne) and Louise Secours-Macmaster (Jamie); her precious grandchildren: Linda, Jeffrey, Kevin, Mark, Brad, Julie, Chantal, Michel, Josée, Paul, Alyssa, Natasha, Vanessa, Heather and Sarah; and her cherished great grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle, James, Reza, Amanda, Blake, Cody, Zack, Wylie, Dove, Crew, Jacob, Chloé, Pierce, Davis, Maverick, Julianne and Alexandre. Evelyne will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Oscar and Eva (née Legroux) Gareau; her siblings: Conrad (late Frances), Yvonne (late Jean Louis), René (Mildred), Denise (late Peter), Royal (late Yolande), Lionel (Ruth), Mariette (late Jack) and Marcel (late Lorraine). Evelyne married Isidore in 1944 and raised their family on Concession Rd. 9, Glen Norman. Her family would specifically like to thank the Nursing Home Staff for their exceptional care. Relatives and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 7 – 9 pm and on Saturday from 12 – 1:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur, Alexandria on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
